During this training, farmers were taken through the process of concentrate feed formulation. Initial observations indicate that while the farmers are trying to improve their milk production, they lack knowledge on how to make animal feed. DDP’s main objective is to increase dairy farmers’ productivity and milk quality and therefore saw this as an opportunity to impact the participants with the knowledge. With the fruits of DDP having been talked about across the region, the farmers asked for the program to be extended to their cooperative society.
