During this training, farmers were equipped with skills on how to make silage in polythene tubes. Thorough on-hand demonstrations were done to enrich farmers’ knowledge on how to keep on feeding their cows during the dry season when fresh fodder is scarce, expensive or basically unavailable. The farmers were also given a one on one demonstration on how to make concentrate feed. The training was conducted to ensure that farmers supply both the right variety and amount of the different type of nutrients a cow needs.
